Up until 2017, the LCRTA offered two (2) $250 scholarships to Livingston County teachers of grades K-12. In 2018 a Bonus scholarship was offered, and in 2019 the Association was able to offer three (3) scholarships. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funds for projects, enrichment activities, field trips, or other opportunities not included in the regular school budget. 2020 was a challenging year - Covid! We are now trying to assist more teachers through our scholarship program. In 2021, still recovering from the effects of Covid in our school, our scholarship applications were way down. In 2022, we were able to award 7 scholarships. The amount of the scholarships ranged from $150 to $400. This year we were able to award 5 teachers/projects with scholarships. Their monetary values ranged from $200 to $400.
Congratulations to our 2023 winners! Information to apply is sent to school districts at the beginning of the school year and must be received by the Scholarship Committee no later than September 30. Winners will be notified by November 1. Questions??? Contact: Andy Holmgren or Wanda Holmgren [email protected] |
